In high school i was a fighter; a troublemaker. I drank heavy and did lots of things I’m not proud of. A friend of mine played Tired of Being Alone and I was hooked on Al Green. When I heard Belle for the first time I cried and listened to it on repeat for hours. It sparked something in me. I didn’t pursue it right away but it stayed there for years, and eventually it was big enough to lead me to God.
Beautiful. Appreciate you sharing. Met the man, and he was as amazing & otherworldly as you can expect.
